CP will be taking part in his first team event and 4th foil tournament for 2015 i.e. the Cempaka Inter-School Fencing competition. Presumably, Coach Ghadz had just registered CP to be in the U10 foil team for the event which will also be his 2nd U10 event after the FT Closed last week.

After August's U8/U9 Touche Junior Circuit and October's U12 MFF Nationals, the FT Closed U10 is CP's third competition exposure. In this event, CP recorded 2 firsts i.e. first time he's competing in the U10 event as well as the first time he's in a state finals.

When the dusts settled, CP was 22nd in the ordered ranking. Not too bad but not too good either as he missed the playoffs slot by 2 places.The top 20 foilers qualified for the playoffs/quarters. There goes RM80 for half a days fencing.

Hence, CP's results thus far in 2015;-

(1) AUG. Champion, U8/U9 Mixed. Touche Junior Circuit 4/2015 @PJ.

(2) OCT.  42nd, U12. MFF GP3 @K.Sukan Negara-Bkt. Jalil. Note: Missed playoffs by 4 slots.

(3) NOV. 22nd, U10. FT Closed @Stadium Titiwangsa - KL.  Note: Missed playoffs by 2 slots

(4) DEC. ???, U10 Team. Cempaka Inter-Team @Sek.Seri Cempaka. 

Takebacks from FT Closed 2015.

(1) More intensive prep and sparring prior to competition.

(2) Choice of 1st(used in competition) and 2nd (backup) weapon.

(3) Counter lunge speed.

(4) Bring water to pieste.

(5) Not to be out-psyched by "shouting" opponents.
(6) Appropriate tactics for difft opponents height.

As per normal, somebody "forgot" to inform the parents. Good thing CP's Ustaz made the effort to check and verify. The timing is just perfect as we should be back just in time.

CP is registered for his 3rd competition after October's MFF GP3(U12) &  Touche Junior Circuit 4/2015 (U 8/9) in August. 

His first U10 event should hopefully be a good warm-up prior to December's Sri Cempaka Inter-School competition. Also good opportunity for CP to be able to benchmark against other U10 foilers in FT.

After some 'instigating', managed to get both hAnA and CP to play in the event.

KPIs given were - CP@Top 3 and hAnA@50%. Both managed to achieve their respective KPI.
My first competition for 2015, 3points resulting in being placed 47th out of 78 players.

9th Title for CM Amir Faiz Amirul - CHAMPION, U8 Open, 1st SK Presint 16(2) Putrajaya 2015 & Special Award for Best Male Player

4 and a-half months into his 'negotiated leave' from chess after Singapore's AAG+ in June, CM Amir Faiz Amirul is ending 2015 with a second title to his name and probably his last U8 title when he emerged Champion of the 1st SK Putrajaya Presint 16(2) 2015 - U8 Open Individual final.
After KL (MSSWPKL) and Selangor (NAG), Putrajaya is the third state he'd managed to win in.

This is his 9th title overall, his second for 2015 and also his second title as a CM. 

He secured his 9th title by winning all 7 rounds in the 'lightweight' competition and in the process was given the Special Award for Best Male Player in the competition..
