36th - 4.5pts/10, CP
38th - 4.0pts, hAnA
44th - 4.0pts, AHM
First competition for both since 9th ASCC at Sri Lanka in early-September
Hence, I'm neither pleased nor dissappointed with the results.
Truth be told this is the FIRST TIME the family is taking part in Chess Blitz in an outdoor "carnival-like" atmosphere. The outdoor atmosphere is totally different from the indoor set-up we're normally used to.
I should have listened to my own advice (Read HERE). 2 Games lost due to "Kesian / Bagi Chance factor) & 1 Game Lost coz CP disrupted play.....Aaaarggghhh!

Initially had wanted to register hAnA & CP for the Polgar 1800 rated (Event INFO) to be held this weekend in Sri Hartamas.
Main intention was to get them to get used to playing classical as preparation for 6th NJCC and WYCC 2013 respectively as there is a dearth of classical events in Malaysia.
However, was informed that the field will be too strong for CP but not for hAnA. *FIDE-ratings aside...Sibling rivalry and logistically, It doesn't make sense for me to just enter one of them for the FIDE-rated event.
Since I've not heard from the organisers re CP's participation it was a Good thing that I was alerted of the Blitz Chess Fever event in Puchong which I'd subsequently registered via fb pm to SM. Should be good practice for them as the Blitz is scheduled be held at both the 6th NJCC@JB and WYCC 2013@UAE.
Note: *Initially(NOT for this event), had wanted to get FIDE-ratings for the kids due to "cost savings".
However, was advised by many players/organisers that this shouldn't be the approach which after discussions with the parties concerned ONLY THEN did I understand why vis-a-vis getting/starting with a low FIDE-ratings.
