The 8th Asian Dragons International Chess Tournament 2014 in New Taipei City began today with an official Opening Ceremony at 10AM followed by the 1st Round game at 1PM.
Players from 10 countries are taking part in the event. Apart from host country Taiwan, and other "Dragons" namely Japan, South Korea, Macau and Singapore - other countries represented are China, Panama, USA, Hong Kong and of course Malaysia (via the KLCA Group).
The top brass of the Chinese Taipei Chess Federation were at the Opening Ceremony along with Ignatius Leong and GM Nigel Short
