The State-level finals for the MSSWP (KL & Putrajaya) was conducted from Monday,23 - Friday,27 April 2012 and held at a school located in an Army Camp i.e. S.K.Desa Tun Hussein Onn,KL.
Amira Farhana represented the Bangsar zone in the Girls U-10 Individual category. In the Bangsar Zone Tournament held at S.K.Sri Hartamas, Farhana was placed 5th. The competition also marked her debut as a "rated player" i.e. 1205, in the just released "2012:April-June National Ratings".
On the final day, Farhana played on Board 1 against Esther Tang(2nd Place) and managed to get a draw. The draw brought her points tally to 5 1/2points and enabled her to be placed 4th in the competition and level on points with the 3rd Place finisher i.e. S.Keerti from S.K.Bukit Jalil.
